MediaTek to Supply 5G Modem Chips for Apple Watch, Replacing Intel For Enhanced Connectivity

Also, the company is looking to add Blood Pressure measurement to the device and Apple thinks, MediaTek can help grow itself along with Apple’s Watches Innovative Features. To compete with the Snapdragon & Intel chipsets, MediaTek also glorifies TSMC’s manufacturing processes that also give better performance on those chipsets.

Apple Is Adding Some New Features in Upcoming Apple Watches

Apple has been evaluating MediaTek Chispe for the last 5 years just because of integrating the new 5G RedCap (5G Reduced Capability) modem into the watch. This feature doesn’t require full 5G for the wearable device like iOt (Internet of Things). It can run all the services even on the minimum data speed and lower consumption.
