POCO X7 Pro: The First Xiaomi Phone With HyperOS 2.0 in India
Xiaomi has prepared a next-gen UI skin called HyperOS 2.0, which has better optimization than the basic HyperOS update. HyperOS 2.0 has many changes in terms of AI, performance improvements, and several visual changes.
Xiaomi has chosen the POCO X7 Pro to push the HyperOS 2.0 update in India which means this will be the first phone to serve the latest Hyper OS 2.0 in India.

POCO X7 Pro
The much-awaited POCO X7 Pro has yet to debut in India; however, the latest rumors state many things about the phone. As we compare the Xiaomi footprint for the POCO smartphones, Previously POCO X6 series phones were launched in January months of the year, so the POCO X7 Series Phones are expected to launch earlier in January 2025.
It’s important to note that the POCO X7 Pro has already been launched in China as the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus while the POCO X7 is Redmi Note 14 Pro. The X7 Pro’s launch in India is simply a rebranded version of that device.
Because of this, we can expect similar performances in the Note 14 Pro Plus(china) model. When we look at the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus China model, the phone comes with a 6.67-inch 120Hz screen refresh rate AMOLED Display which also supports HDR10+, Dolby Atmos, and up to 3000 nits peak brightness.

The phone comes with Android 14-based basic HyperOS UI Skin but Xiaomi has already announced the latest Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 update first of this device in India.
The China Model Redmi Note 14 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 (4 nm) processor so we can also expect the same for the POCO X7 Pro India launch. The memory options are respectively— 12GB RAM + 256GB Storage, 12GB RAM + 512GB Storage & 16GB RAM + 512GB Storage based on UFS 2.2 or UFS 3.1.
The camera setup is like the triple lens on the rear side including the 50Mp primary camera, 50Mp Telephoto Camera, and 8Mp UW lens supports 4K video recording at a max 30FPS. Additionally, you can record HDR Panoroma too.
For selfies, there is a 20Mp shooter on the front side that also supports 1080p and 60FPS video recording. Additionally, it has all essential sensors including an in-display fingerprint scanner.
This phone has a 6200 mAh, non-removable battery with the support of 90W Wired charging technology.
So, based on the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus China model data, the POCO X7 Pro will launch in India with similar specifications.
POCO X7 Pro Launch Date In India
Based on past footprints of the POCO Pohones launch, the POCO X7 Pro will launch in the 1st Quarter of the Year 2025, most probably in January 2025 because the Previous model POCO X6 lineup was also debuted in the same month.
